Exploring the Abandoned Empire Mine (Part 1)
The Empire Mine was part of a very large complex of mines which consisted of dozens of miles of underground workings. The main tunnel is over one mile straight back. The mine produced silver, gold, lead and zinc. The adit that we entered is the lowest adit of the mine. The actual main adit is 800ft higher in elevation but is caved.
