How To Remove Air Ride Suspension For Your Car

👋 Today we show how to remove the Air Lift Performance air suspension from our 2017 Lexus IS300 F-Sport! Maybe you can use this video to learn how to install air ride suspension in your car! But after two years with the bags on the Lexus it's time to remove them as Lauren prepares for her next car! It's been cool to have the ride height adjustment with the air ride and this Air Lift Performance kit has so many ways to adjust. But with her next car being planned out already it was time to put the Lexus back to stock so we don't have to worry about it when the time comes. Removing the air ride suspension really isn't all too different then just swapping out springs and shocks in a car. Front was easy enough taking the air ride strut out and replacing it with the stock strut. The rear we unfortunately ran into issues removing the bolts. On jack stand we could not budge the lower bolts. Just could not get the leverage with the location. The shop was able to get the bolts out on a lift and it took much more powerful tools and better leverage to get them all. They also needed to lower the rear subframe to gain access to the 4 metal collars that sandwich the rear bags. Installing the rear bags is much easier than removing them I think. But luckily they got that done and did a brand new alignment and the Lexus is back to stock ready to roll! Removing the air tank and compressor was very simple as they are just bolted to the trunk. i did fill the holes i the metal with silicone to prevent anything from getting into the car. Air lined all unplugged from the module and disconnected form the bags very easy. And then I just had to disconnect the wires from the battery and pull them through to the trunk. Installing an air ride suspension onto your car is a fairly simple project, but will certainly take some time since there are a lot of components. But overall the Air Lift Performance worked flawless over the two years and it's ready for a new Lexus owner to enjoy! What performance car will replace the Lexus in the coming years?
