Best KASOL Food Walk l Hemp Coffee + Hummus + Shakshuka + Falafel King + German Bakery + Shambu Momo

Join us on a vibrant food walk through Kasol as we explore some of the most loved cafes and hidden gems in the area. Hosted by Anubhav Sapra and Khushboo Barry, this trail is packed with stories, flavours, and memorable conversations. We began at The Evergreen on Manikaran Road near the Forest Rest House, where we met Jatin Sharma and Tal Gross. Their combo crispy chicken platter was a mountain feast layered with bold Middle Eastern flavours-crispy schnitzel, creamy labneh, comforting shakshuka, fresh salad, French fries, and warm naan, all brought together with a drizzle of tahini and chilli garlic sauce. Hearty, wholesome, and deeply satisfying. Next stop was King Falafel near Nature Park. Their signature falafel, paired with hummus, tahini, laffa, and fries, was a pocket-sized powerhouse of texture and taste-crunchy, fluffy, spiced, and truly heart warming. At Little Italy Inn on Manikaran Road, we met Vanita and tried their farmhouse pizza loaded with fresh toppings and gooey cheese, followed by a balanced, creamy tiramisu. We also spoke to the young owner, who shared how her parents started the cafe, turning it into a beloved spot over the years. We dropped by Offlimits Cafe, India’s first hemp cafe, where we met one of the young co-founders, Mayank. Hemp is native to this region, and that’s what inspired them to reimagine it in the culinary space. This unique cafe blends locally sourced produce with hemp-based ingredients in a contemporary setting. It’s a refreshing, offbeat stop for anyone looking to explore alternative, mindful food options. At German Bakery, Balram treated us to a soft, flaky croissant and a decadent cream cheesecake. We chatted about the legacy of German bakery their evolution across India, and how each carries a unique local story while maintaining their classic charm. In Nature Park, Shambhu Momo served us piping hot chicken momos, thanks to Sunil. Juicy, flavour-packed, and just the kind of snack you crave in the chilly mountain breeze. Moon Dance Cafe, near the bridge, was another memorable stop. Their red and white sauce pastas were comforting, the trout fresh from local streams, and the biryani rich with warm spices. We later returned to try their spaghetti pasta - light, flavourful, and indulgent. With its laid-back vibe, artistic interiors, and garden seating, Moon Dance is a soulful cafe that invites you to linger. This food trail through Kasol is more than just meals, it’s a journey across forest trails, cozy cafes, warm kitchens, and a melting pot of global and local tastes.
