The National Electoral Council (CNE) officially declared the results of the first round of the presidential election and confirmed who will compete for the presidency of Colombia in the second round. After the national count was completed, the electoral authority confirmed that no complaints were filed during the vote review process. Furthermore, the president of the CNE stated that no complaints were received from the Office of the President. With this decision, the vote count for the first round is officially closed, and preparations begin for the final round that will elect the country's next president. The electoral body also announced new measures for the second round, including the possibility for campaigns to accredit up to two poll watchers per polling station.
