#E35 | Manon Favre, Responsable communication | Employée de commerce CFC orientation Mark./Comm.
Manon initially intended to pursue a career in teaching. A student in the VSG program, she continued her studies at the School of General Culture with the goal of attending the HEP (University of Teacher Education). However, in her second year, a discovery at the Horizon Forum changed her plans: she became passionate about public relations, a field that combines creativity, communication, and human interaction. Upon learning more about the profession, she understood that practical experience was essential. After completing her secondary education, she made the conscious decision to pursue a vocational path, completing a two-year Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in Business Administration, specializing in communication and marketing, at the Théâtre de Vidy. This experience confirmed her interest in communication and the cultural sector. Wanting to broaden her horizons, she continued her journey at the Verbier Festival, where she completed an internship before securing a permanent contract. Simultaneously, at just 22 years old, she earned her Federal Diploma in Public Relations. An internal reorganization brought this experience to an end, but Manon quickly bounced back at an architecture firm. The Covid crisis then led to another career transition. After a period of unemployment, she joined the Saphir Foundation as a communications officer. There, she discovered the healthcare and social services sector and found an environment that gave more meaning to her work. Today, Manon is the Head of Communications at the Saphir Foundation. Her journey demonstrates that a career path can be a strategic choice, not a default option. By combining education, practical experience, and specialization, she has built a career perfectly aligned with her aspirations. 🎧 Full podcast available on our audio platforms, link in bio. 🔗 https://monapprentissage.ch #VocationalTraining #Apprenticeship #BusinessEmployee #Certificate #Marketing #Communication
