Rhinoceros Beetle - ಖಡ್ಗಮೃಗ ಜೀರುಂಡೆ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತೆಂಗಿನಕಾಯಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಣ್ಣೆ ತಾಳೆಗಳ ಕೀಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೊಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗೊಬ್ಬರದ ಗುಂಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಇತರ ಸಾವಯವ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು 8-12 ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಲಾರ್ವಾಗಳು 8-13 ದಿನಗಳ ಆಹಾರವಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರಿಪ್ಯುಪಲ್ ಹಂತವನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಮೊದಲು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು 82-207 ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ಯೂಪಲ್ ಹಂತವು 17-28 ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
