13 Colonies Special Event at the Cabin! (Plus my EFHW Antenna Dilemma)

We packed up the gear and headed to the cabin for one of the most exciting weekends on the HF bands: the 13 Colonies Special Event! Operating portable from the woods is always an adventure, but this time I decided to up the stakes. Along with hunting down a clean sweep of the colonies, I attempted a brand-new End-Fed Half-Wave (EFHW) antenna installation up in the trees.
