Lower Verdon Gorge - Quinson-- South Of France

The historic trail follows the Verdon River from its old canal to the Sainte-Maxime chapel. Along the way, you'll discover breathtaking views of this nature reserve. Cliffs, turquoise streams, wildlife, flora, and caves combine to dazzle you. The Lower Gorges hike is considered moderately difficult. However, we advise against bringing very young children due to the presence of chains and ladders along the route. This walk can be transformed into a 9.7km loop (but you'll only be covering a portion of it). In this case, don't forget to bring a flashlight: the adventure will take you through dark canyons and mysterious caves. Be aware, however, that municipal orders may temporarily close certain sections of the trail to protect bats living in the area or due to the risk of fire in the summer. Another option: explore by canoe or electric boat!
