This village boasts diverse geological formations in its surroundings. Erosion and wind have left whimsical shapes that nature and the locals have named. The town's origins, like so many others in the province, date back to the 13th century, during the Christian repopulation. However, archaeological sites like La Peña de Los Moros suggest a possible necropolis of inhabitants from that time, and we may have to go back to the Bronze Age. There are no large mansions; most of the houses are well-maintained, transformed into modern dwellings from a past where they were shared with farmyards and livestock. The Júcar River and the Castellar Bridge, a few kilometers from the hamlet, are must-sees, although this bridge is located within the municipality of Fresneda de Altarejos. 📍 Places of interest: Church of San Lorenzo Mártir ⛪ Geological formations: Turtle House 🐢; Sand Cave, Pirate Cave; Los Torrejones Necropolis of Peña de los Moros Castellar Bridge Ancient Roman road that connected the cities of Valeria and Segóbriga Castellar Power Plant 🔌 Júcar River 💦
