NEW CAR RUNNING! Otis Autotronic/Hadfield elevators - Investment Building - Downtown, Pittsburgh, PA

[Recorded 06/07/19] Well, the 1st car's done on these famous elevators. They started modernizing that 1 about 2 years ago. Sadly all of the original cars have now been turned-off, so that means only 1 elevator for 21 floors! How ridiculous! At least it actually responds to calls now. The only other car they're modernizing is car 4. The modernization itself's rather bland, generic, and cheap. It literally took 2 years to modernize that 1. Hadfield sure takes their time on modernizations. Sadly these really needed a modernization, as the old elevators were very unreliable/inefficient due to lack of maintenance, but it definitely could have been better than this. These bounce while moving and decelerate very slowly. I have no idea why I said the controllers may be original, ignore that. They've since re-done the cabs. Replaced 1955, modernized 2019 . .
