1.4 - El simbolismo funcional del Cerro Huelén

The functional symbolism of the sacred Ten Ten hills is examined, and a new hypothesis is presented regarding the true name of the hill and its function as a barrier against the Mapocho River's flooding. The ancient course of the Mapocho River is explored up to the Pudahuel Lagoon. The background of the publication "Mapocho Incaico" is reviewed, including a detailed interview with archaeologist Rubén Stehberg of the National Museum of Natural History about its genesis. ___________________________________________________ XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX About Our Program "Routes of Our Sacred Geography" is an experimental program of travel, adventure tourism, heritage sites, ecology, archaeology, and history, produced by a team of specialists who visit each location, showcasing its natural, tourist, historical, and archaeological attractions, with special emphasis on the Sacred Geography sites present in the area.
