When we boarded a Lufthansa A380 on a flight from Miami to Frankfurt in September 2016, we did not assume that it might be the last time. However, it looked like that when the pandemic hit us all in 2020, and the storage of our favorite aircraft with little prospect of reactivation was certainly the least of the problems. We were all the more pleased when Lufthansa announced the reactivation of part of the A380 fleet after the Covid story had been overcome, and since we had been planning to travel to the Bosten area for quite some time anyway, the holiday destination for this year was quickly found.
