Navigating COVID-19 for NH MAT Practices

This Medication Assisted Treatment Community of Practice session focuses on how New Hampshire MAT practices adapted care during the early COVID-19 pandemic. Presenters reviewed federal and New Hampshire guidance related to maintaining MAT services, including temporary telehealth changes, prescribing considerations, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 issues, reimbursement, pharmacy coordination, and access to medications for opioid use disorder. The session also included practice-based discussion of how providers shifted care for new and established patients, including telemedicine intake, virtual group care, behavioral health access, patient privacy, toxicology testing, lab work, and communication with pharmacies and community partners. This recording may be useful for providers, administrators, and care teams interested in understanding how MAT programs responded to COVID-19 while working to maintain access, safety, continuity of care, and recovery support. Objectives Participants will explore how to: ● Identify relevant federal guidance and regulations related to delivering and maintaining MAT services during the COVID-19 pandemic. ● Identify relevant New Hampshire policies and regulations related to delivering MAT during the pandemic. ● Discuss emerging knowledge and promising practices for delivering MAT via telemedicine. 🗓️ Recorded: April 9, 2020 🕛 Duration: Oner hour and thirty-one minutes 🎥 Hosted by: Medication Assisted Treatment Community of Practice ▶️ Subscribe for more Community of Practice trainings: https://tinyurl.com/3hfhvphh 🌐 Learn more about the New Hampshire Technical Assistance Center: https://nhtac.org/ 📄 View previous technical assistance projects, publications, and research: https://nhtac.org/publications-and-re...
