Posterior Palatal Seal
Here is one version of a posterior palatal seal. I was trained to use a single scribe line as the posterior palatal seal - which - can be easily removed by grinding, etc. As Dr. Dray says - a maxillary denture seal is the same thing as the seal on your refrigerator door.
