A Bothy, Mountain and Wild Camp By A Remote Loch In Galloway Forest Park
With great weather at the start of April, I headed to Galloway Forest Park for two days. While there I stayed at White Laggan Bothy and climbed the highest mountain in southern Scotland- The Merrick at 843 metres. From here i left the path behind and headed down to the remote Loch Enoch for a wild camp. I ended up with my my own beach, complete with some of the whitest sand I've ever seen. This whole area is stunning and well worth the visit. Some of the spots I visited are every bit as wild and remote as The Highlands.
