Blossom the Southern Elephant Seal (1962-1963)
Blossom was a male southern elephant seal who became a beloved celebrity in Wellington, New Zealand, after hauling out on Oriental Bay beach in November 1962 and again in November 1963. The massive bull drew massive crowds of over 20,000 locals who flocked to the capital's marinas to watch his antics.
