Already sold. The Suzuki SV1000 series of road motorcycles was introduced in 2003 and was primarily aimed at the export market – Europe, North America, and Australia. Unlike the entry-level version (the Suzuki SV650), the SV1000 was also officially sold in Japan; the Japanese versions are distinguished by a limited engine power of 94 hp. The Suzuki SV1000 is the higher-end version of the SV650 and has a virtually identical appearance. The main differences are in the engine, intake system, and chassis (frame, swingarm, suspension, and brakes). Briefly describing the SV1000, it could be said that it is the same second-generation SV650, but with more expensive equipment. However, despite this, the "lower" version enjoyed significantly higher demand. Main modifications of the Suzuki SV1000: The Suzuki SV1000 is a standard naked version. It features high handlebars and a classic round headlight. The Suzuki SV1000S is a sport version. It features a front fairing with a dual headlight and lower bodywork. It also features clip-ons and high footpegs, creating a more forward-leaning riding position. The SV1000 is powered by a 996cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine producing up to 125 hp and up to 102 Nm of torque. The engine is carried over from the sport version of the Suzuki TL1000 and has been retuned for smoother low- and mid-range power. This type of engine is often referred to as an L-twin due to its characteristic forward rake. This engine was also installed on the Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom adventure bike. Aside from the engine, key features of the Suzuki SV1000 include a cast aluminum frame, sport fuel injection (SDTV dual throttle valve injector), powerful 4-piston front brakes, fully adjustable suspension, a hydraulic clutch, a 6-speed transmission, and a dry weight of 186 kg. 2007 marked the final year of production for the SV1000 series, after which it disappeared from dealers and was removed from Suzuki's international website. Despite its interesting concept and impressive technical specifications, the model was not further developed.
