VA Has a Hidden Events Calendar — Claims Clinics, Enrollment Help, PACT Act Events & More
VA has an official outreach events calendar where Veterans, transitioning service members, spouses, caregivers, survivors, and family members can look for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events about VA benefits, health care enrollment, claims help, PACT Act information, caregiver support, mental health, women Veteran health care, housing, burial benefits, education, career resources, and more. This is not a magic fix, and not every event will be available in every area. But it is a practical place to check before assuming there is no VA help near you. How to find VA outreach events: Go to the official VA Outreach Events page: https://www.va.gov/outreach-and-event... You may also be taken to the searchable DiscoverVA events page: https://discover.va.gov/events/ Use the filters to search by: State City Event type Benefit category VISN Time zone In-person, virtual, or hybrid events Categories to look for include: Claims Clinic Disability Claim Questions Health Care Enrollment VA Eligibility PACT Act Caregivers Mental Health Women Veteran Health Care Housing / Homeless Pension Burial Benefits Education Benefits Career Resources Veteran ID Card Community Partners Before attending, read the event description carefully. Some events are general information sessions. Others may involve VA staff, VSOs, enrollment specialists, community partners, claims clinics, or other hands-on help. What to bring if you attend an in-person VA outreach event: A government-issued ID Your DD214 if you have it VA letters or rating decisions Medical records or claim evidence if relevant A written list of questions Contact information for your current providers or representatives A notebook or phone to record who you spoke with and what they told you Important reminder: An outreach event does not replace filing a claim properly, preserving appeal deadlines, submitting written evidence, using VA.gov, calling VA, using Ask VA, or working with an accredited VSO, claims agent, or attorney when appropriate. Use these events as another tool in the toolbox. #Veterans #VABenefits #VAClaims #PACTAct #VeteransBenefits #VAHealthcare #TheSaltyOldMarine
