Echo Farm in Hinsdale NH is a local family-owned dairy farm and producer of a local favorite treat – Echo Farm Pudding. It all began over a decade ago when the Hodge's purchased Echo Farm in Hinsdale, NH with the intent of owning a horse and a few sheep. That all changed when they met the Schofield family, who had recently built a barn and were raising and showing Jersey calves. Both families had no idea that the purchase of those first few animals would give rise to the modern dairy farm that exists today. The two families started the farm with the intent of being unlike any other farm. Their cows have names, not numbers; in fact, they are treated like members of the family. Echo Farms pride themselves on providing their cows (Jerseys and Milking Shorthorns) with a pleasant and loving environment. The cows, in turn, show their appreciation by producing award winning, great tasting, high quality milk, to which are added all natural ingredients to bring you the premium line of Echo Farm Puddings. These puddings can be found at local farm stands, small grocery stores and our area food co-ops. Echo Farm seeks to foster a public appreciation for the New England dairy farmer through the distribution of the farm's all natural dairy products and its educational tourism facilities. They believe that a strong dairy industry in New England is vital to maintaining a desirable quality of life for the region. With a focus on community appreciation for locally soured foods, the farm is a first job for many community kids, through 4H and the school district’s extended learning opportunity (ELO) program.
