Reddy said his competitors are not Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat or Maharashtra, but economies such as China, Japan, Germany and South Korea. He stressed that Telangana’s ambition is to attract global investment and position itself as a manufacturing and innovation hub. Highlighting his "China Plus One is Telangana" slogan, the Chief Minister said he wants companies looking to diversify beyond China to choose Telangana as their preferred destination. He also revealed plans to visit China to study its development model and learn from its economic success.
