Amedeo Modigliani was a significant modern artist whose short life was overshadowed by his illness, his drinking, drug taking and early death and the subsequent suicide of his young fiancée. In this talk I will provide an overview of his work that places him at the forefront of the figurative artists of the twentieth century.
