Climbing America's Most Dangerous Mountain Traverse (No Ropes) - The Crestone Traverse
We packed up and headed out to tackle one of the most intense, exposed routes in Colorado—the Crestone Traverse. The plan was simple but brutal: hike in, set up camp at 12,000 feet to get a few hours of sleep, and hit the trail for a 3:00 AM alpine start. Navigating that crazy conglomerate rock in the pitch black was an experience, but hitting the ridge right as the sun came up made the pure exposure completely worth it. No ropes, huge drop-offs, and easily some of the sketchiest climbing we've ever done. If you're thinking about tackling this traverse or just love insane mountain footage, hit that subscribe button; we've got plenty more sketchy ridges coming up!
