However, a closer look at real wages reveals that while they have been positive for four consecutive months recently, price control measures such as gasoline subsidies are keeping prices down. Looking at it on an annual basis, from 2022 to 2025, real wages have consistently been lower than the previous year. Therefore, it cannot be said that real wages are yet rising steadily. Raising the minimum wage is crucial for ensuring a secure and stable life. Today, June 26th, the "Central Minimum Wage Council" began discussing guidelines for revising regional minimum wage amounts for fiscal year 2026.
