Duckweed is Dying, Not Growing, Turning White? I find that duckweed starts to die on people mainly because of surface agitation. And having duckweed turn the color white usually is a sign that your duckweed is on its way to dying. I also find that duckweed is not growing for people with poor lighting. It likes fairly high aquarium lighting.
