We REMOVE our SAILBOAT Diesel Engine, What Next? In this episode we LIFT and REMOVE the Diesel Yanmar Engine Out of Our Sailboat, WITHOUT THE BOOM! We are getting close to getting out for a sail very soon as we have finally sourced the issue for the engine overheating and not starting… a bent conrod! We show you how to remove your engine, and how to remove the pistons and replace the connecting rods (conrod) and put the engine back together again. So, we rig up a hoist and out comes the diesel engine for a full rebuild. We get to work rebuilding our 30 Year-Old Diesel Engine in the Galley of our Sailboat! For a sailing couple with no experience this is no small feat, as we learn how to navigate boat life on board our tiny home and now how to navigate a full engine rebuild DIY style.
