How To Make Your Cheap Ukulele Play Better

Please read details below before attempting this modification. This is a short video explaining how I improved the intonation and string action of my Mahalo UK-51 ukulele, bought for roughly $50 Canadian. Be sure to lower the nut action first and take your time, checking string action along the way. Removing too much material from the nut or bridge will cause fret buzz. Also, if you're uncomfortable modifying your own instrument, a professional luthier is always the best option. This is not a technique I would use on a valuable instrument, but if done correctly it can make your cheap ukulele play effortlessly and fix many intonation issues. Thanks for watching.
