Building DIAMOND-X Part 1 - Control Assembly and Airframe
I am building a second copy of my actively controlled rocket DIAMOND-X, this time with even more upgrades. The Block 3 variant of the rocket will be able to fly with fixed-motor and Thrust Vector Control boosters. This is part 1 of the build series, focusing on the airframe and control actuation system. In Part 2 we will build out the avionics and electrical hardware and make sure the flight computer, fins, radio and cameras are all working. Part 3 will focus on software and booster testing, as well as simulating its flight and recovery. #rocketry #controlsystems #rocket #liftoff #build #electronics 0:00 Intro 0:55 Rocket Upgrades 1:48 Block 2 Overview 2:58 AV Bay Construction 9:49 Mounting the Strakes 10:53 Raceway Covers 14:36 Control Actuation System 17:53 Fully Assembled!
