Understanding Over the Horizon Radar

As opposed to traditional line of sight (LOS) radar, over the horizon (OTH) radar enables the detection of targets well beyond the horizon and thus is particularly important for military and defense applications. This video provides a short technical introduction to OTH radars and explains both the two types of propagation modes used (skywave and surface wave) as well as critical technical considerations for the design and implementation of over the horizon radars.
