Previous series    • The Rolling Pantry over flow garage Cabine...   Next Video    • Video   In this video ( PART 1) I will install white peg board in my work shop, It's the beginning of a new work station I'm building. I will show YOU (Step by Step) how to do it and I give a few ideas so other "expert's" can also get something from this video. I like the clean bright look that comes with new white pegboard. It brightens up any space weather it be a garage, basement, attic, work shop, wood shop or any shop for that matter. White peg board is a great alternative to drywall and is so much easier to install and it will function much better then a flat wall. I will be installing this on bare studs but I will show an example with another work station I did how it can be installed on dry wall / sheet rock or any flat surface you might have like a concrete basement...I'll describe one way to locate wooden studs on a wall that has sheet rock to help with your installation. It is also easy to insulate your walls before installing the peg board but since I live in California and the weather is nice there is little need for insulation. Peg board costs about $20 per 4' X 8' sheet and comes in a 3'16" thickness. It can be purchased at most home store's. The pegboard I'm installing here today is "1/4 thick and cost's a little more but needs to be special ordered. I got mine used from the classifieds that was in great shape for cheap. I have 20 more sheet's in the shed that I will be installing on the other side of my garage once I sell a boat that is in my way. White peg board is a great alternative to dry wall and is so much easier to install. The next video will be the drawer cabinet work bench build.
