I made this for the 'Family Ties' contest hosted by my friends Laura (lbchatterbox) and Vic (rockberryproductions). They're my fave family relationship on the Chicago shows, and one of my faves of any show, so I really wanted to vid them for this contest! They've been through so much together but they keep getting stronger and even though their relationship is not perfect, they're always there for each other no matter what. I chose this song because I think it fits the idea that, although Hank is not Erin's biological father, he took her in and will always be there for her, and is her father. I always thought of this song as a couple song before (I saw Boyce Avenue in concert once and they said that it was written about soulmates finding each other), but a friend of mine pointed out that it fits for families who find each other later on, and I was inspired by a beautiful Emma/David (OUAT) vid to the same song.
