Discovering WHY the OUTER BANKS are so popular!! (Beach Tour 2024)

Next up in our summer beach tour is the Outer Banks of North Carolina! These beaches are so popular that they made a tv show here… which I will be honest, we have never watched. So we wanted to see if they are worth the hype. We stayed at the Cape Hatteras KOA Resort Campground and absolutely loved it there!! We had full beach access with two points over the sand dunes as well as a huge pool! This is the most laid back beach town we have ever been to. You can walk or drive around the town and every restaurant is super chill. The island is so narrow that you can stand in the middle and see the Atlantic on both sides! We have never experienced that before. Also, this is the Cape Hatteras National Seashore so we made sure to stop at the Visitors Center before we left. What a great beach stop!!
