I Spent 3 Days Exploring the French Riviera Through Sport

The French Riviera is usually associated with Monaco, superyachts and glamour… but there’s another side to this coastline too. In this journey across the south of France, I travel through the Riviera via Formula 1, rugby and adventure. Starting in Marseille, I head to Cassis for one of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular coastal hikes, experience the matchday atmosphere of RC Toulon at Stade Mayol, and finally travel to Monaco for the Monaco Grand Prix on its cheapest ticket. This is a slower, more grounded look at one of the world’s most famous coastlines through the lens of sport and travel.
