After a 3-hour boat trip from Bangkurung, we arrived in Mandebulu, one of the most isolated villages in the Banggai archipelago. For 48 hours, we shared the daily life of the Bajau fishermen, the famous sea nomads. Between stilt houses lost in the middle of the ocean, traditional free-diving fishing, incredible hospitality, and unusual nights in a bamboo hut, this experience will remain etched in our memories.
