ㅇ Chic "Le freak" Bass Cover 입니다. 다시듣는 Replay Bass Project 142 번째 곡이구요^^ 오늘은 펑크(funk)음악의 레전드라 불리는 chic의 곡을 커버해봤는데요..워낙 메가히트한 곡이기도 하고, 여러 배경음악, 샘플링에도 많이 쓰이고 있는 “Le freak"라는 곡입니다. 1978년도 곡이니깐, 거의 50년이 된 올드(?)송이네요..하지만 시종일관 압도하는 그루브한 리프와 후크 멜로디는 지금도 여전히 인상적입니다. 얼마전 구매한 이펙터 세팅후, 첫 녹음인데 여간 신경쓰인 녹음이었네요..컴프레서(compressor)와 아날로그 프리앰프, 디지털 프리앰프 등과 EMG JVX 픽업으로 개조한 13년된 펜더와의 역학관계(?)도 그렇고...ㅠㅠ 아무튼 원곡 프레이즈 거의 그대로 하고(워낙 멋있자나요..ㅋㅋ), 슬랩파트 추가해봤습니다. 이제 점점 더워지는 여름이네요...항상 건강 유의하시고, 즐음하세요^^ Today, I covered a song by Chic, often called a legend of funk music. It is "Le Freak," a massive hit that is frequently used for background music and sampling. Since it is from 1978, it is an "old" song that is nearly 50 years old. However, the groovy riff and hook melody that dominate from start to finish remain impressive even today. This was my first recording session after setting up the effects pedals I recently purchased, and it was quite a nerve-wracking one. The dynamics(?) between the compressor, analog preamp, digital preamp, and my 13-year-old Fender modified with EMG JVX pickups were a bit of a challenge... Anyway, I kept the original phrases almost exactly the same (because they're so cool... haha) and added some slap parts. It is now summer, getting hotter and hotter...
