El ORO de Claudio Castilla, porque ¡Hasta el rabo todo es toro!

After securing his first Spanish Technical Dressage Championship title in 2026 with Jota Das Figueiras, winning both the Grand Prix and the Special, Claudio Castilla explains his riding style: “I always try to perform the test the way I like: complete and at the same level. No high points, and no points lost in any movement or gait.” The Jerez-born rider is very happy to be the technical champion: “The technical test shows whether you truly have control of the technique, which is the most important thing for the future.” He emphasizes his main objective in the arena: “To try to ensure the horse is at its best every day…because what I like is to be on par with my horse, have the confidence of its owners, and try not to leave anything behind.” After being selected to represent Spain at the CDI 4* in Hagen, with Jota and Hi Rico Do Sobral, Claudio is moving forward with his sights set on the World Championships in Aachen. “That’s the main objective of the Spanish Championships: to be among the pairs that will make the selection in Germany, and I’m very motivated and happy to be able to have both of them in Aachen and to be a member of the team.”
