White Balance Card - The Secret To Perfect Colors In Your Photos

Get your free Custom White Balance Cheat Sheet: http://shp.photo/whitebalance White Balance is a great tool for making sure the colors in your photos are perfect, and the white balance card is the secret to outsmarting your camera's auto white balance to get perfect colors. So I wanted to share with you how to use a white balance card and how simple it is to make sure that your photos always have perfect colors no matter what kind of lighting you’re shooting in. Light is a wave, and waves can move at different speeds, or wavelengths; and human eyeballs can only detect a specific range of wavelengths. This range is referred to as the visible spectrum of light, and when all of the wavelengths of the visible spectrum are together, we get white light. (Sometimes referred to as daylight balanced light.) But not all light sources produce the full spectrum of visible light. For example, light from tungsten lightbulbs has a wavelength of around 600 nanometers, and when those 600 nanometer waves hit our eyeballs, we see orange. And this is where white balance comes in, because while our brains will automatically ignore the orange color of the light from that lightbulb, telling us that white is white and red is red and so on, cameras can’t do that, at least not without a little help. The Custom White Balance tool that’s available on pretty much every camera will allow you to get perfect colors no matter how tricky the lighting situation, and in this video I explain exactly how to use it. 🔔 Subscribe for more free photography tutorials: https://youtube.com/user/selfhelpphot... ✅ Recommended playlists: Learn How Your Camera Meter Works And How To Use It:    • How the Camera Meter Works and When it Get...   Learn All About ISO, Aperture & Shutter Speed:    • How Your Camera Talks To You (and Why You ...   How To Get Started Shooting With Flash:    • Complete Off Camera Flash Setup For Under ...   ❤️ If you find my content helpful, become a patron:   / heniadis   Disclosure: Some of the links I use are affiliate links, meaning, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.
