Delfland controleert kwetsbare dijken vanwege risico op droogte
Temperatures are rising sharply, and the Delfland Water Board is therefore inspecting vulnerable dikes and embankments for cracks caused by drought. “We only carry out these inspections during specific droughts,” explains area manager Tobias van Adrichem. “The hinterland here lies three meters lower; it would flood considerably if the dike here were to break.”
