This video features railway operations during heavy snowfall on the JR West Biwako Line, filmed at Notogawa, Omihachiman, Azuchi and Shinohara stations. On the day of filming, strong winds affected the Kosei Line along the western shore of Lake Biwa. As a result, Limited Express Thunderbird services were diverted via the Biwako Line instead of their usual route. This rare operating pattern created an impressive mix of passenger and freight traffic, including multiple Thunderbird services, Special Rapid trains, local trains and freight trains running through heavy snow.
