Update: Ended up installing an OPA1656 op-amp in the mix-bus/summing-amp as well. It was either that, or using the classic TL072 found in many classic mixers for more saturation (yeah, I know, totally different era/spec/performance of op-amps). It made a noticeable difference, reinforcing the sound-signature of the OPA1656 that I already installed in the phono-pres even more-so. My reasoning… since there would be many more circuits down the line/chain (mixing desk, active subwoofer, active monitors [or, a power-amp if you're using passive-speakers]) that would be using ordinary-spec, consumer-grade and/or BJT op-amps in their circuits, might as well use the highest-spec/performance op-amps when given the opportunity… since all those circuits & op-amps down the chain will also add non-linearities & saturation of their own. I figured, the OPA1656 on the summing-amp will help balance out those countless circuits w/ BJTs down the line. Additionally, my ex-Nuo 2.0 uses all TL07x op-amps in its' main-board; I wanted to try/have something different. OPA1656 has FET inputs, but in CMOS tech... so, it should contribute/produce more even-order harmonics (smoother sound, less ear-fatigue).
