Свято Івана Купала у Жмеринській громаді: кращі моменти у відео

On the night of June 23-24, Ukrainians celebrate one of the oldest, most poetic and mysterious holidays of the folk calendar – Ivan Kupala. This holiday dates back to pre-Christian times and symbolizes the unity of man with nature, youth, love, purification and faith in goodness. After the churches switched to the new Julian calendar, the date of the celebration shifted, and now Kupala Night coincides with the period when nature is at the peak of its power, giving people healing herbs, warm evenings and a special atmosphere of a summer miracle. It was this atmosphere that was created in the village of Lysohirka, Zhmerynsky community, where Kupala evenings were held on the picturesque shore of a local pond. Young people from the villages of Dubova, Lysohirka, Karmalyukove, Petrani and the city of Zhmerynka, together with residents of the community, gathered to remember ancient Ukrainian customs, chat and spend time in a friendly circle. The organizers of the festive event were Olga and Yuriy Melnyky - people who have been caring for the development of culture, preserving the national heritage and educating the younger generation in love for Ukrainian traditions for many years. They not only hold cultural events, but also actively support charitable initiatives to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defenders of our country.
