The Real Reason I Left Home - What Is Happening In Ukraine

I don't usually talk about why I actually left Ukraine. I talk about building a new life in Spain and starting over — but I almost never go back to the beginning. To what it was actually like before I packed one suitcase and bought a one-way ticket. This video is that beginning. I lived in Ukraine through the full-scale invasion — through the first attacks on Kyiv, through the blackouts with no electricity, water or heating. I graduated uni while running between blackouts. I built my career after sleepless nights in the hallways. And for a long time I kept choosing to stay, because Ukraine is my home and I genuinely love it. Until one summer when I realised that surviving and living are not the same thing. This is the most personal video I've posted. It's about what the war in Ukraine actually feels like from the inside, what Ukrainians are going through every day, and what it takes to finally decide to go. Even if it feels like leaving behind everyone you love.
