■ History Pursuit - The Shocking Report of King Uija's Surrender: The Epitaph of Ye Sik-jin A major artifact related to Baekje was discovered at an ancient art gallery in Luoyang, China. The subject of the stele is Ye Sik-jin. He came from a prominent Baekje family, with both his grandfather and father from Ungjin, Baekje, having held the highest post of the state, Jwapyeong. Furthermore, this discovery is historically significant because, while "numbers" are rare in Baekje epigraphs, the information provided is remarkably specific. The tombstone contains a few characters that reveal Ye Sik-jin's identity: "Great General of the Left Guard of the Great Tang Dynasty," "Resident of Ungcheon, Baekje," and "Family of a Jwapyeong."
