Much has been lost, much has been forgotten, and in remaining ignorance, darkness has risen. Husks and the corrupted litter the overgrown caverns, the silent protest of nature even succumbing to the abyssal call, and yet, the path above remains. Used The Grandeur and Spitfire Audio's Soft Piano for the piano, Orchestral Tools Time Micro and Time Macro for backing strings, Metropolis Ark I, II, and IV for the "strong" strings, Nocturne Cello, Emotional Violin, Spitfire's Solo Strings for Viola, ProjectSAM Orchestral Essentials for tremolo strings and backing harp, Victorian Music Box toward the end, percussion was Heavyocity's Damage and Master Session series (coupled with a break sample I got but don't remember how), and I used Heavyocity's Evolve Mutations 2 and Vocalise 2 in combination with Disturbia for the atmosphere and sound effects. I think the water is from a sonniss "general" pack, but I dunno if they still do those. Program is LMMS. I thought of a concept for a sort of offshoot for Bilewater, like a gigantic waterfall you could fall down into and have to fight your way back up, but this song ended up taking a few different directions, and at the moment I'm simply content with it being finished enough. I finally left my previous job as restaurant manager and I'm in line for something else, I just don't know when I'll get the call, so I'd like to see what all I can get polished up and shared with everyone. Anything donated helps a bunch, and if you have a commission/project idea, I'll hear it out. I feel the one thing I've looked for but never found was a game project that deeply resonated with me and the work I've done that I enjoy, like Remember Me (though a little dated at this point) and Into Deep. I did like working on some dark ambient tracks in Popgoes Evergreen, and I've done some battle themes for other smaller projects, but I'm fascinated by games like Celeste and Silksong where there's both the potential for so much intricate movement with a soundtrack that properly accentuates the experience and drives you forward. That's half the reason I used a video for once in Art of Ascension, and I'd love to do it again in the future if I can find something like that again.
