The Mario 64 Bounty That Took 30 Years to Settle - L is Real 2401
In the 90s, the rumour that Luigi was playable in Super Mario 64 was relentless. IGN, however, struggled to believe it was true. In an effort to dispel the myth once and for all, in 1996, we posted a bounty. The message was simple: Prove Luigi’s in the game and we will pay you $100. Countless tried, none succeeded. And after 24 years, people moved on. But then, seemingly out of nowhere, Nintendo's source code was exposed to the world, and deep in the Nintendo "Gigaleak", fans finally found the missing plumber hidden in a place where nobody could look. It's been 30 years since we posted our Mario 64 bounty, so it’s time to finish this. Let’s settle our debt once and for all. 00:00 Intro 01:30 L is Real 2401 03:56 The Search For Luigi 09:00 The Nintendo Gigaleak 13:48 Mario 64 Bounty Settled #ign #gaming #mario64
