Crashes, snakes, and dusty chunk: Chimney Gulch is up there as a least favorite trail near Denver. The climb is brutal, the corners are loose, hikers are everywhere, and the dust feels like marbles on concrete, but somehow this trail still has some insanely fun sections if you ride it right. Its proximity to town keeps it on everyone's radar as a viable after work ride. In this ride, I take the e-bike out to see if speed can actually make Chimney Gulch fun, and somehow end up running over a snake halfway down the trail, and going car to car in 40 minutes.
