Kirk Hammett Wrote More Than Solos… These Metallica Riffs Prove It

Everyone knows Kirk Hammett for his legendary solos, signature wah pedal, and incredible lead guitar work. But Kirk also brought some unforgettable riffs into Metallica. In this video, I take a look at four riff ideas that are clearly connected to Kirk Hammett—from the original version of the Enter Sandman riff, to the iconic “Die! By my hand!” breakdown in Creeping Death, the thrash attack of Trapped Under Ice, and a riff from the Death Magnetic' My apocalypse song.
