Working in the BSL-4 laboratory: waste management
All materials leaving the BSL-4 laboratory, including waste, defective equipment and supplies, undergo treatment in special chambers called autoclaves. By applying hot steam and pressure, viruses that might stick to the materials’ surfaces are completely destroyed.
