Full yarn stash tour + organisation + check-in (will it really take 8 years to knit through it all?)

This is a long, cosy chat - so grab your knitting (or your own disorganised stash) while I go through every skein and ball I still own 6 months into my year of a yarn no-buy and stashdown challenge! I’m sorting it into garments, accessories, socks, and scraps, pulling out a few to donate, and talking about a few great secondhand finds (like Hedgehog Fibres, Knitting for Olive Sandnes Garn, and Lopi!). I cap it off with some quick calculations in excel for my fellow data lovers out there, using my completed project weights to calculate my stashdown progress and see how I'm tracking against my (optimistic) 8-year timeline, to hopefully make space for some very exciting travel yarn acquisitions soon.
