Heel Knot Foundation of O1U1
In this video, I show how to cast on the basic heel knot "skeleton" over your heel knot foundation. I use leather glued on the bottom of my bosals where the strings are run back through a ring knot. After it's glued on, I sand it to a good, symmetrical shape. This part is paramount in being able to get your heel knot to look nice in the end. Take your time at the end of braiding this O1U1 skeleton to get all your boxes evened up and your Xs straight!! This is the most important part of the heel knot - not the interweave braiding. The O2U2 interweaving will be in a video to follow. If you have any questions, please ask in the comments below. Thanks for watching!
