Objectif : TOUT QUITTER !

Mickaël is what you might call a small business owner. He and his wife made a big decision: to sell everything and move to an atoll in Polynesia to open a bed and breakfast. For over a year, a Grands-Reportages team followed the Mazzoli family's first steps, from their departure from Île-de-France to their permanent settlement on the Manihi atoll. Two other radical life changes follow in the documentary: Roxanne and Nicolas, a couple in their thirties who had been living in the West Indies, decided to come to mainland France to learn the tough trade of market gardening and settle in Guérande, in Loire-Atlantique. "The beach and the coconut trees are beautiful, but here, by becoming market gardeners, we're going to give a whole new meaning to our lives." And then there's the inspiring story of Thomas, a 27-year-old financier living in Grenoble who leaves everything behind—his job, his family, his country—to help the poor inhabitants of a favela in Medellin, Colombia. "The every-man-for-himself attitude that reigns in the world of finance isn't my thing; I need a collective adventure and to feel useful." We follow his arrival in Colombia and his initial successes with local families, whom Thomas introduces to the concept of social tourism. Directed by: Eric LEMASSON & Alexandre GOSSELET
